[복습]

현재-과거-미래 시제 연습

 

나 보통 ~~게 하는데 [현재]

어제는 ~~게 했어 [과거]

내일은 ~~게 할거야 [미래] be going to

 

1. drink

I usually never drink an americano.

But yesterday, I drank an americano

Tomorrow, I'm gonna drink a latte.

 

2. wear

I usually wear coats during winter.

But yesterday morning, I wore my favorite padded jacket.

Next time, I'm gonna wear the coat.

 

3. draw

I usually draw the landscape during my spare time.

But last time, I drew the portrait of my friend.

Next time, I'm gonna draw the abstract painting.

 

yesterday morning : 어제 아침 / last morning 이라고 안한다

padded jacket : 패딩

landscape : 풍경화

portrait : 초상화

abstract painting : 추상화

원래 계획 -> 변수 -> 결과 패턴 연습

원래 ~ 하려고 했는데 was/were going to

~문제가 있어서 

~결국 ~ 하게 됐다 ended up ~ing

 

1.

원래 친구들이랑 영화를 보고 밥 먹으려 했는데

한 친구가 갑자기 일이 생겨서

결국 전부 취소해버렸어.

 

I was actually going to go to the movie with some friends and we were going to have lunch together,

but one of them suddenly had something to do

we ended up canceling the whole thing.

 

2.

원래는 더 상급 모델을 사고싶었는데,

돈이 많이 없어서

그냥 이걸로 샀어요.

 

I actually wanted to get the higher model,

I didn't have much money

so I ended up getting this one.

 

3.

원래는 해외여행을 계획했었는데,

비행기표를 못구해서

결국 아무데도 못갔어.

 

We were actually planning to travel overseas,

but we coudln't get the plane tickets

so we eventually couldn't go anywhere.

 

4.

원래는 진짜 디저트 안먹으려고 했는데

케이크가 너무 맛있어보이는거야.

그래서 결국 못참고 3조각이나 먹어버렸어.

 

I really wasn't going to eat any desert.

but the cake looked so good.

so I couldn't resist and I eventually ended up eating 3 pieces.

 

5. 

원래는 얘기 안하려고 했었어

그런데 너가 말 꺼내서 말인데

궁금한게 있어서 말이야

 

I wasn't actually say anything

but since you bring it up

I have something I want to ask you / There's something I want to ask you. / I have one question for you

어제 원래는 축구 보려고 했어

그런데 경기가 새벽 4시 인거야

그래서 결국 잠들어 버렸지 뭐

 

I was actually going to see the soccer game yesterday.

but the game was 4 AM

So I ended up sleeping last night.

어제 사실은 널 보고 싶었어

근데 상사가 나한테 일을 시키는 거야

그래서 갈수가 없었어

 

I really wanted to see you yesterday.

But the boss let me do extra work

so I couldn't go

나는 원래 의사가 되고 싶었어

그런데 공부를 너무 못했어

그래서 결국 지금은 축구선수가 됐어

 

I actually wanted to be a doctor

but I was really bad at studying.

So I ended up becoming the soccer player.

 

9.

나는 원래 고기를 안좋아해

그런데 장모님이 고기를 너무 좋아하신다는거야

그래서 결국 먹었지 뭐

 

I actually don't like any kinds of meat.

but my mother in law loves them

So I ended up eating it.

 

10.

나는 원래 삼성에 취직하고 싶었어

그런데 대학생 때 너무 놀았던거야

그래서 결국 지금까지 일을 못구했어.

 

I wanted to get a job in samsung.

But I enjoyed my school life too much.

So I couldn't find a job until now.

 

~를 못하다 be bad at ~ing

말을 꺼내다 bring it up

~를 참다 resist
